5 Inspirational Movies to Watch with Your Children

Is there any fun way for your children to learn or completely change them in a way? Surely, there is. Movies about child development and many others can do the work. Yes,  it’s challenging to change the way you think. Yet, they motivate you in every possible way.  It must be one of the pleasant ways to use movies to learn and gain insight about yourself. They are an indirect method for all to find something appealing to us. We find ourselves related to the characters, their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. There are many things we can think of about inspirational movies to benefit. 

Inspirational Movies For Kids

Watching inspirational movies for kids would likely help the audience accordingly in research. It would change the perspectives about engaging with new concepts relevant to their daily experiences (1). Especially for children with the diagnosis, movies can reduce distress and cause them to feel more understood and valued.

The children have a story to compare conflicts with characters’ and then it successfully fulfills the recovery process (2). It seems storytelling can change negativities into useful sources to build on. Apparently, movies would encourage children to engage in self-inquiry processes. It is an effective way to help children to get in touch with their feelings (3). 

Feel-good movies enable people to make sense of their life, construct it into narratives from stories. They can reshape their self-perception and change the dynamics of their relationships.  This may lead to the reconstruction of their life as well (4). Movies that have valuable messages can encourage children to change or embrace the precious lessons in them. Here are the five best inspirational movies:

Wonder tells the story of Auggie, a fifth-grade boy with a craniofacial disorder. The movie’s emphasis on being different is just ordinary.  Children or anyone can grow empathy for others who are different. 

The Lion King

The Lion King mirrors the grieving process which Simba gets through. He loses his father, and it brings blame and denial. One can easily notice that he handles the issues. It may help children cope with the death of their beloved ones and grief.

Inside Out

Inside Out is a very appealing movie about emotions and how they can affect life. It is encouraging to talk about feelings more openly and helps to consider them. 

Dumbo

Dumbo is bullied for his big ears, and he is treated poorly by people in the circus. The movie talks about issues like abuse. A deep insight to look at differences and accept, not judging anyone. But also, Dumbo stays in power with the change and talents we have.
